Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ GLORIFY THE NAME of your Lord, most high, 1 Who hath created and then proportioned, 2 Who determined and guided them, 3 And Who brings forth herbage, 4 then made it a blackening wrack. 5 WE SHALL teach thee, and thou wilt not forget [aught of what thou art taught,] 6 Save that which Allah willeth. Lo! He knoweth the disclosed and that which still is hidden; 7 We shall ease thee unto the Easing. 8 So remind them if reminder is profitable: 9 The admonition will be received by those who fear (Allah): 10 But it will be avoided by those most unfortunate ones, 11 Who shall enter the great fire; 12 Neither dying therein nor living. 13 He indeed shall be successful who purifies himself, 14 and remembers the Name of his Lord, so he prays. 15 Nay, but you prefer the present life; 16 But the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 And this is in the Books of the earliest (Revelation),- 18 The scriptures of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
