The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ (Muhammad), glorify the Name of your lord, the Most High, 1 Who hath created, and further, given order and proportion; 2 who determined and guided, 3 and who brings forth herbage, 4 and then made it into a blackish straw. 5 We shall make thee read (O Muhammad) so that thou shalt not forget 6 save what God wills; surely He knows what is spoken aloud and what is hidden. 7 And We shall make easy unto thee the easy way. 8 Therefore give admonition in case the admonition profits (the hearer). 9 in mind will keep it he who stands in awe [of God,] 10 Only the wretch will turn aside, 11 Who shall enter the great fire; 12 then he shall neither die therein, nor live. 13 He indeed hath attained bliss who hath cleansed himself, 14 remember the name of the Lord, and pray to Him. 15 But rather you prefer the life of this world! 16 even though the life hereafter will be better and will last forever. 17 Surely, this is in the ancient Scrolls, 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
