The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ EXTOL the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's name: [the glory of] the Al-Highest, 1 Who created and proportioned 2 Who measureth, then guideth; 3 And who brings out the pasture 4 Then reduces them to rusty rubbish. 5 We will make you recite, [O Muhammad], and you will not forget, 6 Unless God may please. He knows the visible and knows what is hidden. 7 We shall ease you to the easy. 8 Therefor remind (men), for of use is the reminder. 9 Admonished is he indeed who feareth, 10 but the most wretched shall flout it, 11 and suffer the heat of the great fire 12 in which he will neither die nor live therein. 13 He is successful who groweth, 14 And magnifies the name of his Lord and prays. 15 But you prefer the life of this world, 16 While the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 This indeed is what is taught in the former scriptures -- 18 The scriptures of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
True are the words of God the Almighty.
