The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Magnify the Name of thy Lord the Most High 1 Who createth, then disposeth; 2 And Who has measured (preordainments for each and everything even to be blessed or wretched); then guided (i.e. showed mankind the right as well as wrong paths, and guided the animals to pasture); 3 and who brings forth herbage, 4 Then made it dry and dark. 5 WE SHALL teach thee, and thou wilt not forget [aught of what thou art taught,] 6 Save that which Allah willeth. Lo! He knoweth the disclosed and that which still is hidden; 7 And We shall ease thy way unto the state of ease. 8 Therefore give admonition in case the admonition profits (the hearer). 9 He will heed who feareth, 10 And the most wicked will stay away from it. 11 even he who shall roast in the Great Fire, 12 In which he will neither die nor live. 13 Surely he will succeed who grows in goodness, 14 remembering his Lord's name and praying. 15 No; but you prefer the present life, 16 Whereas the Hereafter is better and everlasting. 17 Indeed this is in the former scriptures. 18 the Scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
