The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Hallow thou the name of thine Lord, the Most High, 1 who creates [every thing,] and thereupon forms it in accordance with what it is meant to be, 2 who determined and guided, 3 It is He who has caused the grass to grow, 4 Then turneth it to russet stubble. 5 We shall make you recite so that you will not forget, 6 save what God may will [thee to forget] - for, verily, He [alone] knows all that is open to [man's] perception as well as all that is hidden [from it] 7 We shall ease you to follow the way of Ease. 8 So remind them if reminder is profitable: 9 He will heed who feareth, 10 But the wretched one will avoid it - 11 and suffer the heat of the great fire 12 in which he will neither die nor live therein. 13 Indeed whosoever purifies himself (by avoiding polytheism and accepting Islamic Monotheism) shall achieve success, 14 remember the name of the Lord, and pray to Him. 15 Nay! you prefer the life of this world, 16 even though the life hereafter will be better and will last forever. 17 Lo! This is in the former scrolls. 18 the Scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
