The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Praise the name of thy Lord the Most High, 1 who created all things and gave them due proportions, 2 And Who makes (things) according to a measure, then guides (them to their goal), 3 And Who bringeth out the (green and luscious) pasture, 4 And then makes it dark stubble. 5 We shall make you recite so that you will not forget, 6 except what Allah wills, surely, He knows all that is (spoken) aloud and what is hidden. 7 And We shall make easy for you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) the easy way (i.e. the doing of righteous deeds). 8 So remind them if reminder is profitable: 9 Soon whoever fears will heed advice. 10 But the most hapless will flout it, 11 He will be cast into the Great Fire. 12 wherein they will neither live nor die. 13 Indeed whosoever purifies himself (by avoiding polytheism and accepting Islamic Monotheism) shall achieve success, 14 And mentions the name of his Lord and prays. 15 But ye prefer the life of this world, 16 While the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 This is what is written in the ancient heavenly Books, 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
