Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Has there reached you the report of the Overwhelming [event]? 1 (Some) faces on that day shall be downcast, 2 Labouring, striving hard. 3 They will enter in the hot blazing Fire, 4 The while they are given, to drink, of a boiling hot spring, 5 No food will there be for them but a bitter Dhari' 6 that will neither nourish nor satisfy their hunger. 7 (Whereas other) faces on that Day will be joyful, 8 Glad with their endeavour (for their good deeds which they did in this world, along with the true Faith of Islamic Monotheism). 9 They shall be in a Garden lofty: 10 Where they shall neither hear harmful speech nor falsehood, 11 Therein will be a flowing spring, 12 raised couches, 13 And goblets ready placed! 14 and arranged cushions 15 and carpets spread out. 16 Will they not regard the camels, how they are created? 17 And at the sky, how it is raised aloft? 18 And the mountains: how they were fixed? 19 And at the earth, how it is spread out? 20 Therefore do remind, for you are only a reminder. 21 You are not charged to oversee them. 22 However, those who turn away and disbelieve, 23 God will punish them with the greatest torment. 24 Verily, to Us will be their return; 25 Then it will be for Us to call them to account. 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
