Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Have you heard about the Overwhelming Event? 1 Some faces, that Day, will be humiliated, 2 Labouring, striving hard. 3 (Yet) Going into the blazing fire. 4 Drinking from a boiling spring, 5 no food for them but cactus thorn 6 Which doth not nourish nor release from hunger. 7 [And] some faces will on that Day shine with bliss, 8 well-pleased with their striving. 9 In a lofty Paradise. 10 wherein thou wilt hear no empty talk. 11 Therein will be a bubbling spring: 12 [and] there will be thrones [of happiness] raised high, 13 And cups set at hand. 14 And cushions ranged! 15 and carpets outspread. 16 Do they never reflect on the camels and how they were created, 17 And the sky: how it was raised high? 18 And the hills, how they are set up? 19 And at the earth - how it is spread out? 20 So, [O Prophet] exhort them: your task is only to exhort, 21 thou art not charged to oversee them. 22 However, those who turn away and disbelieve, 23 him will God cause to suffer the greatest suffering [in the life to come]: 24 Truly, to Us is their return; 25 Then verily on Us is their reckoning. 26
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
