Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Hast thou received the story of the Enveloper? 1 Some faces, that Day, will be humiliated, 2 Labouring, wearied out, 3 they shall burn in a Scorching Fire; 4 and will be made to drink from a fiercely boiling spring. 5 For them there will be no food except from a poisonous, thorny plant 6 which will neither fatten them nor satisfy them. 7 (Whereas other) faces on that Day will be joyful, 8 Rejoicing over their efforts. 9 In an elevated garden, 10 wherein they shall hear no vain talk. 11 Wherein is a gushing spring, 12 Therein will be thrones raised high, 13 And goblets set at hand 14 and cushions ranged, 15 and well spread carpets. 16 Look they not at the camels, how they are created? 17 And at the sky, how it is raised aloft? 18 And the mountains, how they were fixed; 19 And the earth, how it is spread? 20 Remind them, for thou art but a remembrancer, 21 You are not at all a guardian over them. 22 But he who turns his back, and disbelieves, 23 Then Allah will punish him with the greatest punishment. 24 To Us they will all return. 25 then upon Us shall rest their reckoning. 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
