The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the night when it enshrouds, 1 and by the day when it breaks in its glory, 2 And by Who created the male and female, 3 Verily, [O men,] you aim at most divergent ends! 4 Yet he who gives to others and has fear, 5 And affirms goodness, 6 for him shall We make easy the path towards [ultimate] ease. 7 As for him who was a miser and behaved with aversion (to Allah), 8 and calls the ultimate good a lie 9 We will make smooth for him the path for evil; 10 When he falls (into Hell), his wealth will not help him. 11 Surely, in Our hands is guidance, 12 And most surely Ours is the hereafter and the former. 13 Wherefore I have warned you of Fire flaming, 14 No one will burn in it but the most wretched, 15 who gives the lie to the truth and turns away [from it]. 16 One who fears God shall be kept away from it -- 17 Who gives his wealth in order to be pure. 18 and confers no favor upon anyone for recompense 19 He desires only to please his Lord, the Supreme. 20 and such, indeed, shall in time be well-pleased. 21
God the Almighty always says the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
