The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the night enshrouding 1 By the day when it appeareth in glory, 2 and by Him Who created the male and the female: 3 Lo! your effort is dispersed (toward divers ends). 4 Then as for him who giveths and feareth Him. 5 And affirms goodness, 6 Unto him therefore We shall indeed make easy the path to ease. 7 And as for him who stinteth and is heedless, 8 And denies the best [reward], 9 We shall facilitate the path to affliction 10 and his wealth shall be of no avail to him when he perishes. 11 Lo! Ours it is (to give) the guidance 12 and to Us belong the Last and the First. 13 I have warned you about the fierce blazing fire 14 None will [enter to] burn therein except the most wretched one. 15 Who denies and turns away. 16 And avoid it shall the most pious, 17 Who gives away his wealth, purifying himself 18 And no one has done a favour to him, for which he should be compensated. 19 He desires only to please his Lord, the Supreme. 20 He surely will be pleased (when he will enter Paradise). 21
Almighty God's Truth.
