The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the Night as it conceals (the light); 1 and the day as it rises bright! 2 And Him who created the male and female, 3 Indeed your efforts differ. 4 Thus, as for him who gives [to others] and is conscious of God, 5 and believes in the finest, 6 We will ease him toward ease. 7 But as for him who is a miser, and self-sufficient, 8 and calls the ultimate good a lie 9 Unto him therefore We shall Indeed make easy the path to hardship. 10 His wealth will not avail him when he falls into ruin. 11 Surely, it is for Us to provide guidance -- 12 And most surely Ours is the hereafter and the former. 13 Therefor have I warned you of the flaming Fire 14 in which no one will suffer forever except the wicked ones 15 who denied [the truth], and turned away. 16 But the righteous one will avoid it - 17 Who gives away his wealth, purifying himself 18 and confers no favour on any man for recompense, 19 But only seeking the Countenance of his Lord the Most High. 20 And soon will they attain (complete) satisfaction. 21
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
