The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By oath of the late morning, 1 and by the calm of night, 2 Your Lord has neither left you, nor despises you. 3 And the Hereafter is better for you than the first [life]. 4 And indeed, in time will thy Sustainer grant thee [what thy heart desires,] and thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan and give thee shelter (and care)? 6 Did He not find you perplexed, and show you the way? 7 And did He not find you in want, and then enriched you? 8 As for the orphan, do not oppress him, 9 and do not chide the one who asks for help; 10 and proclaim the bounty of your Lord. 11
