Al-Duhaa
The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the midday brightness 1 and by the night when it covers, 2 (Muhammad), your Lord has not abandoned you (by not sending you His revelation), nor is He displeased with you. 3 The Last shall be better for you than the First. 4 And verily thy Lord will give unto thee so that thou wilt be content. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and then gave you shelter? 6 Did He not find you unaware of the Right Way, and then directed you to it? 7 And did He not find you in want, and then enriched you? 8 Wherefore as to the orphan, be thou not unto him overbearing. 9 And do not rebuke the beggar. 10 And abundantly proclaim the favours of your Lord. 11
