The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the white forenoon 1 And by the night when it is still (or darkens); 2 (O Prophet), your Lord has neither forsaken you, nor is He displeased. 3 Indeed what is to come will be better for you than what has gone by. 4 For your Lord will certainly give you, and you will be content. 5 Did He not find you an orphan, so provided you shelter? 6 And He found thee wandering, so He guided thee, 7 And found thee in want, and given thee sufficiency? 8 Therefore do not treat the orphan with harshness, 9 And do not drive the beggar away, 10 And abundantly proclaim the favours of your Lord. 11
Almighty God's Truth.
