The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the midmorning, 1 And the night when dark and still, 2 (O Prophet), your Lord has neither forsaken you, nor is He displeased. 3 and the Hereafter will indeed be better for you than the present life; 4 And your Lord is going to give you, and you will be satisfied. 5 Did He not find you orphaned and shelter you? 6 Did He not find you unaware of the Right Way, and then directed you to it? 7 And He found you poor, and made you rich (selfsufficient with selfcontentment, etc.)? 8 Therefore, the orphan shalt thou never wrong, 9 And as for the petitioner, do not repel [him]. 10 And keep recounting the favours of your Lord. 11
