The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the white forenoon 1 and by the night when it darkens, 2 Your Lord has not forsaken you nor does He dislike you! 3 And indeed the Hereafter is better for you than the present (life of this world). 4 And soon will thy Guardian-Lord give thee (that wherewith) thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan, and shelter thee? 6 Did He not find you perplexed, and show you the way? 7 Did He not find thee needy, and suffice thee? 8 Therefor the orphan oppress not, 9 And as for him who asks, do not chide (him), 10 And proclaim the Grace of your Lord (i.e. the Prophethood and all other Graces). 11
