Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

I CALL TO witness the early hours of morning, 1 and by the night when it covers, 2 Thy Lord has neither forsaken thee nor hates thee 3 And the Hereafter is indeed better unto thee than the life present. 4 And soon will thy Guardian-Lord give thee (that wherewith) thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan and protect (thee)? 6 Did He not find you wandering, and give you guidance? 7 Did He not find you poor and enrich you? 8 Do not oppress the orphan, 9 nor drive away the one who asks. 10 But the bounty of the Lord - rehearse and proclaim! 11

God the Almighty always says the truth.
