Al-Duhaa
The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the Glorious Morning Light, 1 And by oath of the night when it covers, 2 Thy Guardian-Lord hath not forsaken thee, nor is He displeased. 3 And indeed the latter is better for you than the former. 4 And presently thy Lord shall give unto thee so that thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you orphaned and shelter you? 6 Did He not find you perplexed, and show you the way? 7 Did He not find you in want, and make you free from want? 8 So as for the orphan, do not oppress [him]. 9 and him that seeks [thy] help shalt thou never chide, 10 and proclaim the bounties of your Lord. 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
