The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the morning brightness 1 and the night when it grows still and dark. 2 (O Prophet), your Lord has neither forsaken you, nor is He displeased. 3 And the Hereafter is indeed better unto thee than the life present. 4 Your Lord will give you, and you will be satisfied. 5 Found He not thee an orphan, so He sheltered thee? 6 And find you lost (that is, unrecognized by men) and guide (them to you)? 7 And did He not find you in want, and then enriched you? 8 As for the orphan, do not oppress him, 9 and chide not him who asks, 10 And abundantly proclaim the favours of your Lord. 11
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
End of Surah: The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa). Sent down in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
