The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the morning brightness 1 And [by] the night when it covers with darkness, 2 your Lord has not forsaken you (Prophet Muhammad), nor does He hate you. 3 And surely what comes after is better for you than that which has gone before. 4 Your Lord will soon grant you sufficient favors to please you. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give [you] refuge? 6 And find you lost (that is, unrecognized by men) and guide (them to you)? 7 And find you in want and make you to be free from want? 8 Therefor the orphan oppress not, 9 And as for him who asks, do not chide (him), 10 And proclaim the Grace of your Lord (i.e. the Prophethood and all other Graces). 11
Almighty God's Truth.
