And those who disbelieve say: What! when we have become dust and our fathers (too), shall we certainly be brought forth? 67 Indeed we and our fathers had been promised this before. It is nothing but the earlier people's lore." 68 Say: "Go ye through the earth and see what has been the end of those guilty (of sin)." 69 And do not grieve upon them, nor be distressed because of their scheming. 70 They say, 'When shall this promise come to pass, if you speak the truth?' 71 Say thou: belike close behind you may be some of that which ye would hasten on. 72 Now, verily, thy Sustainer is indeed limitless in His bounty unto men - but most of them are bereft of gratitude. 73 And verily, your Lord knows what their breasts conceal and what they reveal. 74 And there is nothing concealed within the heaven and the earth except that it is in a clear Register. 75 Lo! this Qur'an narrateth unto the Children of Israel most of that concerning which they differ. 76 it is a guidance, and a mercy unto the believers. 77 Lo! thy Lord will judge between them of His wisdom, and He is the Mighty, the Wise. 78 Trust in God for you follow the manifest truth. 79 Verily thou canst not make the dead hear, nor canst thou make the deaf hear the call when they flee turning their backs. 80 Nor can you lead the blind when they have gone astray. You can make none hear except those who believe in Our signs and have come to peace and submission. 81 ۞ And when the Word (promise) appears upon them, We shall bring forth for them a beast from the earth to speak to them – because the people were not accepting faith in Our signs. (This beast will rise from the earth, when the Last Day draws near.) 82
