The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the midday brightness 1 And the night when it covers with darkness. 2 Your Lord (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) has neither forsaken you nor hated you. 3 And indeed the latter is better for you than the former. 4 Thy Lord shall give thee, and thou shalt be satisfied. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give [you] refuge? 6 And found thee lost on thy way, and guided thee? 7 And He found thee in need, and made thee independent. 8 Therefore do not treat the orphan with harshness, 9 Therefor the beggar drive not away, 10 and proclaim the bounty of your Lord. 11
