Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

By the Glorious Morning Light, 1 And by oath of the night when it covers, 2 Thy Lord hath not forsaken thee, nor is He displeased. 3 And verily the Hereafter will be better for thee than the present. 4 And presently thy Lord shall give unto thee so that thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you as an orphan and give you shelter? 6 Did He not find you wandering, and give you guidance? 7 And He found you poor and made [you] self-sufficient. 8 Therefore, the orphan shalt thou never wrong, 9 And repulse not the beggar; 10 and as for thy Lord's blessing, declare it. 11

God the Almighty always says the truth.
