Al-Duhaa
The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the morning hours 1 and by the night when it darkens, 2 Thy Sustainer has not forsaken thee, nor does He scorn thee: 3 And the Hereafter is better for you than the first [life]. 4 Your Lord will soon grant you sufficient favors to please you. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and take care of you? 6 And He found you unaware (of the Quran, its legal laws, and Prophethood, etc.) and guided you? 7 Did He not find you poor and suffice you? 8 Therefore, as for the orphan, do not oppress (him). 9 nor drive away the one who asks. 10 But the bounty of the Lord - rehearse and proclaim! 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
