Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa) before The Afternoon (Al-'Asr)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Did We not expand for you, [O Muhammad], your breast? 1 and relieve you of the burden 2 that had weighed so heavily on thy back? 3 And We have upraised for thee thy renown. 4 So, surely with every hardship there is ease; 5 Verily, with the hardship, there is relief (i.e. there is one hardship with two reliefs, so one hardship cannot overcome two reliefs). 6 So, when you have finished (your prayer), labor (in supplication), 7 And strive to please thy Lord. 8
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
