And when you did go forth early in the morning from your family to lodge the believers in encampments for war and Allah is Hearing, Knowing. 121 When two parties among you were about to lose courage, but Allah was their ally; and upon Allah the believers should rely. 122 And Allah most assuredly helped you at Badr when you were humiliated. Therefore, fear Allah, in order that you will give thanks to Him. 123 Also, remember when you said to the believers, "Is it not enough that your Lord is helping you with a force of three thousand angels sent (from the heavens)?" 124 Yea; if you are patient and godfearing, and the foe come against you instantly, your Lord will reinforce you with five thousand swooping angels.' 125 And God ordained this [to be said by His Apostle] only as a glad tiding for you, and that your hearts should thereby be set at rest - since no succour can come from any save God, the Almighty, the Truly Wise 126 And that He might cut off a part of those who disbelieve or suppress them, so that they will turn back, disappointed. 127 It is no concern at all of thee (Muhammad) whether He relent toward them or punish them; for they are evil-doers. 128 To Allah belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth. He forgives whom He will and punishes whom He will. Allah is Forgiving, the Most Merciful. 129
