The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
READ in the name of thy Sustainer, who has created 1 He created man from a clot of blood. 2 Proclaim! And thy Lord is Most Bountiful,- 3 Who taught (to write) with the pen 4 taught man what he did not know. 5 Nay! man is most surely inordinate, 6 For he thinks he is sufficient in himself. 7 Surely unto thy Lord is the Returning. 8 What thinkest thou? He who forbids 9 a servant (of Allah) when he prays? 10 Did you consider: what if he is on the Right Way, 11 and enjoins piety? 12 Hast thou seen if he denieth (Allah's guidance) and is froward? 13 Does he not realize that God sees him? 14 Nay! if he desist not, We would certainly smite his forehead, 15 the lying, rebellious forehead! 16 Then let him call his associates; 17 We will now call the guards! 18 No! Do not obey him. But prostrate and draw near [to Allah]. ۩ 19
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
