The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
READ IN THE name of your Lord who created, 1 created man from a clot of congealed blood. 2 Proclaim! And thy Lord is Most Bountiful,- 3 who has taught [man] the use of the pen 4 Hath taught man that which he knew not. 5 Yes indeed, man is surely rebellious. 6 whenever he believes himself to be self-sufficient: 7 However, (all things) will return to your Lord. 8 Seest thou one who forbids- 9 a servant (of Allah) when he prays? 10 Have you considered if he were on the right way, 11 or is concerned with God-consciousness? 12 Seest thou if he denies (Truth) and turns away? 13 Does he not know that God sees? 14 And yet indeed if he does not desist We shall drag him by the forelock, 15 a lying, sinful forelock. 16 So let him summon his helpmates; 17 We will call on the angels of punishment (to deal with him)! 18 Nay, heed him not: But bow down in adoration, and bring thyself the closer (to Allah)! ۩ 19
God the Almighty always says the truth.
