The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
(Muhammad), read in the name of your Lord who created (all things). 1 created the human from a (blood) clot. 2 Read and your Lord is Most Honorable, 3 who taught by the Pen, 4 Hath taught man that which he knew not. 5 Nay, verily, man becomes grossly overweening 6 Because he considers himself self-sufficient. 7 truly, all will return to your Lord. 8 Have you seen him who restrains 9 A servant when he prays? 10 What thinkest thou? If he were upon guidance 11 Or he commandeth piety? 12 Hast thou considered whether he may [not] be giving the lie to the truth and turning his back [upon it]? 13 Does he not know that God sees? 14 No indeed; surely, if he gives not over, We shall seize him by the forelock, 15 the lying, rebellious forehead! 16 Let him call on his associates for help 17 We will call on the angels of punishment (to deal with him)! 18 No, indeed; do not obey him! Prostrate and come nearer (to Allah). ۩ 19
Almighty God's Truth.
