The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Read! In the Name of your Lord, Who has created (all that exists), 1 Created man, out of a (mere) clot of congealed blood: 2 Read and your Lord is Most Honorable, 3 Who has taught (the writing) by the pen [the first person to write was Prophet Idrees (Enoch)]. 4 taught man what he did not know. 5 No! [But] indeed, man transgresses 6 That he thinketh himself independent! 7 However, (all things) will return to your Lord. 8 What thinkest thou? He who forbids 9 a servant of Ours from prayer? 10 Have you considered if he were on the right way, 11 Or enjoineth piety? 12 What thinkest thou? If he cries lies, and turns away - 13 does he not know that Allah sees? 14 No! If he does not desist, We will surely drag him by the forelock - 15 a lying, sinful forelock. 16 and then let him summon [to his aid] the counsels of his own [spurious] wisdom, 17 We, will call the Zabania (the harsh angels of Hell). 18 By no means! Obey not thou him. Continue to adore, and continue to draw nigh. ۩ 19
God the Almighty always says the truth.
