The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Oh, the chargers that run panting, 1 And strike sparks of fire, 2 And scouring to the raid at dawn, 3 raising a trail of dust, 4 Cleaving, as one, the centre (of the foe), 5 Most surely man is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 And to that (fact) he bears witness (by his deeds); 7 for, verily, to the love of wealth is he most ardently devoted. 8 ۞ Knoweth he not - when that which is in the graves shall be ransacked? 9 And that within the breasts is obtained, 10 Most surely their Lord that day shall be fully aware of them. 11
