The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the snorting chargers, 1 Striking stones with their hooves, sparking fire. 2 And the chargers at dawn, 3 and raising clouds of dust, 4 Penetrating deep into the armies, 5 Indeed mankind, to his Lord, is ungrateful. 6 And lo! he is a witness unto that; 7 Surely, he is ardent in his love of wealth. 8 ۞ But does he not know that [on the Last Day,] when all that is in the graves is raised and brought out, 9 And the hearts' contents shall be brought into the open? 10 On that day their Lord surely knows all about them! 11
