Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the snorting, panting horses, 1 and produce sparks 2 by the dawn-raiders 3 And raise the dust in clouds the while, 4 forcing their way into the midst of the enemy, 5 Verily man is unto his Lord ungrateful. 6 To this he himself shall bear witness. 7 And lo! in the love of wealth he is violent. 8 ۞ Knoweth he not that, when the contents of the graves are poured forth 9 And that which is (locked up) in (human) breasts is made manifest- 10 Indeed, their Lord with them, that Day, is [fully] Acquainted. 11
