The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

Oh, the chargers that run panting, 1 Striking sparks of fire (by their hooves), 2 And the chargers at dawn, 3 And therein raising dust. 4 Then rush thereby upon an assembly: 5 Surely Man is ungrateful to his Lord, 6 And is himself witness to it, 7 And indeed he is, in love of wealth, intense. 8 ۞ So does he not know? When those in the graves are raised, 9 And the secrets of the hearts exposed, 10 indeed, on that Day their Lord will be aware of them! 11
