Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the chargers panting, 1 then raise sparks of fire (by their hoofs), 2 while running during a raid at dawn, 3 blazing a trail of dust, 4 And cleaving their way therein into the host, 5 That man is ungrateful to his Lord 6 And to that fact he bears witness (by his deeds); 7 And verily in the love of wealth he is vehement, 8 ۞ Does he not know that on the day when those in the graves are resurrected 9 And that which is (locked up) in (human) breasts is made manifest- 10 indeed, on that Day their Lord will be aware of them! 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
