The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

By (the horses) that charge snorting, 1 and produce sparks 2 And by oath of those who raid at dawn. 3 blazing a trail of dust, 4 And penetrate forthwith into the midst (of the foe) en masse;- 5 Indeed mankind, to his Lord, is ungrateful. 6 and to this, behold, he [himself] bears witness indeed: 7 And verily in the love of wealth he is vehement, 8 ۞ Does he not know,- when that which is in the graves is scattered abroad 9 and that which is in the breasts is brought out -- 10 Surely their Lord will be aware of their (deeds). 11

True are the words of God the Almighty.
