The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Quraish (Quraish) before Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

The Striking! 1 How awesome the sudden calamity! 2 How will you comprehend what the startling calamity is? -- 3 It is a Day whereon mankind will be like moths scattered about, 4 The mountains like the tufts of carded wool. 5 Then as for him whose balances are heavy, 6 shall live in a life which is pleasing, 7 but he whose deeds weigh light in the Balance 8 His dwelling shall be the Abyss. 9 And what have you understood, what the one that abases is! 10 A flaming fire! 11
