Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

The mutual rivalry for piling up (the good things of this world) diverts you (from the more serious things), 1 Until you visit the graves (i.e. till you die). 2 Nay! you shall soon know, 3 You shall cetainly know (about the consequences of your deeds). 4 Nay, would that ye knew (now) with a sure knowledge! 5 For ye will behold hell-fire. 6 Then you shall most certainly see it with the eye of certainty; 7 Then you will surely be asked that Day about pleasure. 8

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
