The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 who created and shaped, 2 and who determines the nature [of all that exists,] and thereupon guides it [towards its fulfilment,] 3 It is He who has caused the grass to grow, 4 Then reduces them to rusty rubbish. 5 We will make you recite, [O Muhammad], and you will not forget, 6 save what God may will [thee to forget] - for, verily, He [alone] knows all that is open to [man's] perception as well as all that is hidden [from it] 7 And We shall make easy unto thee the easy way. 8 So remind them if reminder is profitable: 9 He who fears will mind, 10 but the reprobates will turn away 11 The one who will enter the biggest fire. 12 in which he will neither die nor live therein. 13 He who purifies himself, 14 and mentions the Name of his Lord, and prays. 15 But nay, [O men,] you prefer the life of this world, 16 While the hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 This, indeed, was in the ancient Scrolls, 18 Writs of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
