Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

The excessive gathering (of increase and boasting) occupied you (from worshipping and obeying) 1 Until ye come to the graves. 2 But you will come to know soon; -- 3 Again lo! presently ye shall know. 4 Nay, would that ye knew (now) with a sure knowledge! 5 You will be shown hell 6 You would see it with the eye of certainty. 7 Then, shall ye be questioned that Day about the joy (ye indulged in!). 8

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
