Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

The mutual rivalry for piling up of worldly things diverts you, 1 Until ye come to the graves. 2 But nay, ye soon shall know (the reality). 3 Again, ye soon shall know! 4 Nay, were ye to know with certainty of mind, (ye would beware!) 5 You will surely end up seeing Hell; 6 You would see it with the eye of certainty. 7 Then, on that day, you will be questioned about the bounties (of God). 8

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
