Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

The mutual rivalry for piling up (the good things of this world) diverts you (from the more serious things), 1 Until you visit the graveyards. 2 No indeed; but soon you shall know. 3 Again, ye soon shall know! 4 Lo! would that ye knew now with the surety of knowledge! 5 You will be shown hell 6 Again, indeed you will see it with certainty. 7 Then, on that day, you will surely be questioned regarding the favours. 8

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
