Al-Takaathur
Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Greed for more and more distracted you [from God] 1 Until ye visit the graves. 2 Nay! You shall come to know! 3 Again, ye soon shall know! 4 Nay, would that ye knew (now) with a sure knowledge! 5 Ye shall certainly see Hell-Fire! 6 Then you shall most certainly see it with the eye of certainty; 7 Then on that day you shall most certainly be questioned about the boons. 8
