The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Woe to every fault-finding back-biter, 1 who has gathered riches and counted them over 2 thinking that his property will make him live forever. 3 By no means! He shall surely be cast into the crushing torment. 4 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Consuming One is! 5 It is the fire of Allah, [eternally] fueled, 6 the Fire that shall rise to the hearts (of criminals). 7 Indeed it will be shut over them. 8 In outstretched columns. 9

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
