The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Ruin is for every open slanderer, backbiter. 1 Who amasseth wealth; and counteth it. 2 He thinks that his wealth will make him last forever! 3 No! He will surely be thrown into the Crusher. 4 And what shall make thee know that which the Crushing Fire is? 5 It is a fierce fire created by God 6 The which doth mount (Right) to the Hearts: 7 It shall be made into a vault over them, 8 In extended columns. 9
