The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Woe to every slanderer, defamer, 1 Who collects wealth and [continuously] counts it. 2 He thinks that his wealth will immortalise him forever. 3 By no means. He will be thrown into Hutama. 4 and what shall teach thee what is the Crusher; 5 It is the fire of Allah, [eternally] fueled, 6 Which mounteth up to the hearts. 7 Indeed it will be shut over them. 8 In extended columns. 9
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
