The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Woe to every scorner and mocker 1 Who pileth up wealth and layeth it by, 2 thinking that his wealth will make him live forever. 3 By no means! They will be thrown into hutamah. 4 And what will make you realize what the crushing disaster is? 5 The Fire of God kindled 6 Reaching right into the hearts of men, 7 Verily it shall close upon them, 8 in its long columns of flames. 9

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
