The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Woe to every slanderer and backbiter. 1 Who pileth up wealth and layeth it by, 2 He bethinketh that his wealth shall abide for him. 3 By no means! He shall surely be cast into the Crushing Fire. 4 And what will make you realize what the crushing disaster is? 5 Fire of Allah, Kindled, 6 which will rise over the [guilty] hearts: 7 covered down upon them, 8 In outstretched columns. 9
