The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

WOE TO EVERY slanderer, back-biter, 1 Who accumulated wealth and hoarded it, counting. 2 He thinks that his wealth will make him last forever! 3 Nay! he shall most certainly be hurled into the crushing disaster, 4 and what shall teach thee what is the Crusher; 5 It is the fire kindled by God 6 Which rises above the hearts. 7 Surely it shall be closed over upon them, 8 In columns outstretched. 9

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
